Our Story

Private villas in the hills above Amed

Why We Chose Amed

A staggered rice paddy on the slopes of a valley became the Vesica Villas Resort. A quiet place to stay in the hills looking towards the ocean.

Vesica Villas Resort opened in 2026. The idea had been with us since 2020, and construction began in 2023. The location was chosen for being close to the centre of Amed, yet high enough for quiet nights.

A private setting keeps the stay peaceful, with Amed and the rest of East Bali easy to reach.

The Villas

There are nine villas, each two storeys high with a pool of its own, set across the hillside so that every one looks over the valley to the Bali Sea.

Each has its own character, with Balinese teak, clean contemporary lines and a finish held to a very high standard.

The Care

Pak Made Artana, our General Manager, leads the housekeeping, maintenance and food and beverage teams.

Ms Mega Komang greets you with a warm Balinese welcome, and she and her guest relations team plan your days, from drivers and dinners to a morning on the reef.

We stay in touch before you arrive and after you leave.

The Culture

Amed still keeps its own pace. Ceremonies continue, morning offerings are laid, food preparation begins at the market and as the boats deliver their catch.

The Experience

Discover East Bali. A morning on the ocean, a temple with a guide, or a trip at the market with a private cooking class.
